McGill AirClean's Electrostatic Precipitator Systems Solve Air Pollution Control Problems for a Wide Variety of Industries
McGill AirClean has more than 40 years of experience solving air pollution control problems for a wide variety of industrial processes including boilers, furnaces, dryers, ovens, etc. The company has the knowledge and experience to properly select the correct materials of construction to meet the particular demands of an application, greatly extending the operation life of its electrostatic precipitators (ESPs).
Dry ESP Systems
A spray-dry scrubber and electrostatic precipitator (ESP) for acid gas
control
McGill AirClean's dry ESP systems generate a corona to electrostatically charge particulate and remove it from flue gas streams. Each ESP system is designed to provide effective control of particulate emissions while saving customers money by minimizing operating costs.
A unique needle/plate collection electrode design uses energy very efficiently, enabling our ESPs to operate economically at low voltage and current levels. Our design also reduces maintenance costs. The low power levels prolong the life of insulators and conventional ESPs, there is much less that can break down on a McGill AirClean ESP. McGill AirClean keeps the number of moving parts in its ESP systems to a minimum, and those parts that do move are of heavy-duty construction.
Modular construction allows the company to size a compact, economical system for a customer's process. Typical applications include wood-fired boilers, coal-fired boilers, glass furnaces, cement kilns, and solid waste incinerators.
Wet ESP Systems
A McGill AirClean wet electostatic precipitator (WESP) system controls
wood dryer emissions at an oriented strand board plant.
McGill AirClean has pioneered the application of high-efficiency wet ESPs, a cost-efficient, highly effective way to meet very stringent air pollution control regulations and for sticky or flammable flue gas particulates. A washdown system keeps the WESP internal clean to help prevent fires and maintenance problems. The company's durable WESP systems have solved difficult emission control problems for wood dryers, wood-fired boilers, fiberglass forming and curing ovens, and steel scarfing processes.
Mobile ESP Testing
With its mobile ESP, McGill AirClean can accurately size a full-scale
wet or dry ESP system for a customer's application.
McGill AirClean's mobile ESP can be used to study an emission problem on site and develop an effective solution. This equipment enables the company to analyze the flue gas stream, determine ESP collection efficiencies, and collect data to size a full-scale wet or dry ESP for a customer's application.
